Following the report of Emile’s disappearance, an extensive search was organized by the authorities. Despite their efforts, the search yielded no results. It was not until nine months later that the tragic confirmation of the boy’s death came to light. On the 30th of March, 2024, a passerby discovered Emile’s remains near Vernet.
